Taiowa Donovan is the lead and founding mentor of Team 5472. He graduated with a B.S. in Early and Secondary Science Education and studied abroad at the London Metropolitan University, focusing on exceptional education and teaching the inner city child. His teaching experience includes the George Junior Republic Union Free School District; the Advent School in Boca Raton, where he taught science and served as Science Department Chair; and LeadAmerica School in Boca Raton where he was Program Director of the Engineering and Robotics program helping to design the curriculum and manage the teaching staff. Now, he is the Robotics Director at American Heritage School Boca/Delray and has been part of the team for four years.
Mike Wood is a mentor for Team 5472. While serving in the Navy he learned the electrical skills he uses to aid the team. Additionally, he aids in troubleshooting, both at competitions and in the lab. Mike Wood has been a mentor since the beginning of 2017.
Gary Skantar is a mentor for Team 5472. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He specializes in helping in creating and refining the team's strategies, and he coaches the drive team. He has been a mentor since the beginning of 2017.
Mike Weir graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Since then he has served as a mentor to FLL and FTC teams for eight years. He assists the team in software development and troubleshooting. He has been a mentor to Team 5472 since 2017.
Kris Weir holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Kettering University and a Business degree form Harvard. She helps out in all aspects of the team. She has been a mentor since 2017.
